We tailor our anesthetic protocol to every patient and use the safest techniques available for sedation, IV anesthesia, and general anesthesia. Before anesthesia we place an IV catheter and provide intravenous fluids, which provides access for emergencies and helps maintain patient stability under anesthesia. During anesthesia, under a doctor’s supervision, a trained veterinary technician, constantly monitors and graphs your pet’s vital statistics and anesthetic status. We monitor your pet’s arterial oxygen level, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and core body temperature. We also apply heat therapy to ensure a safe body temperature is maintained throughout the procedure.
